Do you have payment arrangements so that the total amount doesn't have to be paid all at one time?
Yes! We require a $250 deposit at the time your reservation for services is placed; an additional $250 six weeks before the event; and the balance due 2 weeks prior to the event. In the case of a change of plans, the original booking deposit of $250 will be forfeited, but any payments beyond that will be refunded, EXCEPT within the last 30 days prior to the wedding, when we are unlikely to get another booking on such short notice.
How soon after the wedding will my photo CD's be ready? We know you'll be itching to see the pictures of this important day that you've worked so hard to create. It requires many hours to select, crop, and color-correct the several hundred photos we will be presenting to you, and then retouch those that require a little extra attention. Since we both have "day jobs," it runs approx. 3-4 weeks. Because there are only the 2 of us, we're careful not to book more weddings than we can manage. If we can get them out to you faster, we absolutely will do so.
What if I want more coverage time than 8 hours? Additional hours of photography services can be purchased at $95.00 per hour.
What if there are additional photos I would like to have retouched? Just ask! We can do a few at a per-photo charge, or work out a fee for a larger batch.
Do you offer any other services?
Yes! We would be happy to shoot engagement photos (for your "save the date" mailers or a beautifully-framed enlargement to become part of your reception decor); or to cover a special engagement party or rehearsal dinner. Some brides also like to have a small session to get a few bridal portraits taken prior to the wedding (best planned for later in the day when you go for your hair-and makeup "run-through.") Just let us know what's involved, and we can work up a price based on time involved.
* Nobody wants to think it's going to rain on their wedding day- but this IS the Pacific Northwest. So, we travel with a good number of all-white and all-black umbrellas for photos or ceremony use. While this won't rescue an all-outdoor wedding, it can let you laugh at the weather long enough for photos, or to enable your ushers to help keep guests keep dry from the parking lot to the door. They can even be cute "Seattle-themed" props for photos on non-rainy days.
* Printed & bound photo albums are a very elegant (but extremely costly, $1000+) alternative to a traditional scrapbook-style photo album, and are very popular right now. Although there are services that allow you to make them yourself online, many people end up abandoning the project, finding that it takes them hundreds of frustrating hours. We can put your final selections into the published-book format for you, for $250 plus the actual cost of printing the book. So, since the publishing companies typically offer a 40-55% "discount coupon," we would be happy do this project FOR YOU for a price of around $450 (we have to say "about" because our price will depend on the lowest price we can get from the publisher at the time.) A high-end studio would likely mark this same product up to between $1000 to $2500.
